The General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the second cohort for its Best-in-Class 8(a) STARS III Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) – and Booker DiMaio made the list!
This $50B program creates visibility for, and flexible access to, small and diverse IT providers. Government agencies will be able to pull IT providers directly from an elite group of small businesses, expanding opportunities for the smaller organizations and diversifying the contractor pool.
Being part of this exclusive group is an exciting and validating opportunity for the Booker DiMaio team. In addition to streamlining access to small businesses on government contracts, the GSA 8(a) STARS III designation…
- Eliminates lengthy RFP processes
- Reduces competition to only the absolute best-in-class IT providers
- Expands Booker DiMaio’s established authority in the field
- Extends the life of the 8(a) designation
“We’re joining a group of highly qualified peers,” President Sean Booker explains. “It’s like the Special Forces of the 8(a) contracting world.”
This GSA initiative facilitates small and diverse business success in the government contracting space by creating a pre-qualified pool of contract candidates. Furthermore, this program encourages emerging technologies, supports best-value solutions outside the continental United States, helps agencies reach sustainability goals, and implements supply chain risk management (SCRM) best practices.
“Small businesses are the backbone of this nation’s economy. I’m proud of our partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration to create and sustain growth opportunities for socioeconomically disadvantaged companies in the federal IT space,” said Sonny Hashmi, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service.
