March is Women’s History Month, and since this month is all about celebrating and recognizing Women’s achievements, it felt like a great time to reintroduce the world to Booker DiMaio’s Executive Co-founder and Co-owner, Maria Booker.
Originally from Los Angeles, Maria is a U.S. Army veteran who honorably served multiple overseas tours. A proud Veteran Institute for Procurement Graduate (GROW & International), Maria has dedicated her career to technical innovation, leadership, and service. With 25+ years of expertise that spans technical training and writing, test engineering, systems engineering and management, linguistic and communications analysis, as well as signal acquisition and processing, Maria has played a vital role in not only shaping Booker DiMaio, but also the Defense Contracting industry.
While all the amazing qualifications listed above tell you that Maria is incredible at her job, they don’t capture the depth to which her leadership extends beyond her military and professional experience. A proud supporter of women in STEM, she has served as a VP Board Member of AFCEA YAC, where she has connected with other emerging leaders by contributing her insights to the advancement of technology and defense communities.
Having traveled the world in numerous leadership capacities, Maria brings a deep understanding of government operations, allowing her to drive strategic support in both these outside roles and by providing guidance for the daily operations of Booker DiMaio.
Wanting to share her skills with the world outside of the military, Maria and her husband Sean Booker eventually started their data engineering firm, Booker DiMaio. Under Maria’s constant encouragement, guidance, and vision, they were able to work together to transform their decades of expertise in government and military contracting into a thriving business. Today, thanks to the dedication and commitment of both Bookers, the company has expanded to employ dozens of industry specialists and manage multiple private and government contracts across the tech sector.
This Women’s History Month and always, we want to give a special thanks to our Co-Founder, Co-owner, and biggest supporter, Maria Booker.
